Describe the socio-demographic profile of your neighborhood.  What are its racial, economic, social, and housing characteristics?  How have these factors shaped the life chances of residents there?  What does the data reveal about life for residents in your zip code (zip code is 94501, California)? Out of all the issues that we will cover in our course race and ethnicity, economic inequality, ethnic and racial conflict, educational inequality, and identity politics, which is most critical in your zip.

Begin by exploring the socio-demographic profile of the neighborhood that your currently reside in now by visiting the Census’s American Factfinder Website and generate data by inputting your zip code (zip code is 94501, California): Link:

Remember, the ACS is based on estimates. A form goes to selected households and usually one member of the household completes the form and submits it to the Census. The Census then produces an estimate of the population.
