Aim: to make students aware of issues with different styles of reporting evidence and the
effect that these can have on a judgement.
You need to write a short essay discussing the differences between traditional and
evaluative reporting and the pros’ and con’s and challenges of each.

Note that a scientific essay has a flowing structure from introducing the topic, (historical
context, e.g. Locard and others), discussing the state of the art (e.g. current literature) and
personal opinion about the future, e.g. what should be done to improve reporting. Maybe
