Zafar checked and saw that Fred had indeed moved to a large expensive five-bedroom house. Upon this, Zafar sacked Fred and Yogesh on the spot, citing dishonesty, for fear of the company suffering any more losses. Each was allowed back for an appeal, which they lost.

In the event, Fred had inherited the house from his late Aunt Gilder. Since their dismissal, Fred and Yogesh were charged with theft from Crunch. Fred was convicted and Yogesh was acquitted. Zafar and Anila have been having an extra-marital affair for the last six months.
