Amazon is a USA based company dealing in e-commerce, cloud computing, artificial intelligence amongst other technology-based services. The company is considered as one of the major tech firms alongside other major players such as Google, Apple, and Facebook. Since its inception in the year 1994, the company has focused on the provision of quality, scalable, reliable and inexpensive e-commerce and cloud computing services to various customers across the globe. As a result, the company has reported significant benefits and high profits in the previous years. To better understand the factors contributing to the success of the organization this paper presents a case study of Amazon Inc. The case study focuses on the analysis of the company’s organizational culture, the impact of the organizational culture on corporate culture, analysis of the company’s internal climate and an evaluation of the company’s stakeholders.

There are four major kinds of organizational culture, clan, adhocracy, market, and hierarchy. The clan organizational culture refers to a family-like form of a culture where mentoring and nurturing are the major approaches adopted in the execution of tasks. Adhocracy organizational culture refers to an entrepreneurial and dynamic form of organizational culture that mainly emphasizes risk-taking and innovation. Market for of organizational culture refers to a result-oriented culture that mostly focuses on achievements and competition. Lastly, hierarchy organizational culture entails a structured and controlled form of culture that puts emphasis on stability and efficiency in the execution of tasks.
