Assessment Task 2 A Report based on the IT/IS risks and solutions for a case study scenario (Assesses Learning Outcomes 1, 2 and 3)
Individual IT Risk Analysis Report.
Scenario – Mathematics and Computer Science Teaching area,
During the workshop session in week 1 you were placed in small groups. You had been appointment by the University to be professionals’ consultant to provide support and recommendations, regarding the risks and requirements associated with the IT/IS systems within the teaching area of the building that the mathematics and computer sciences teaching is held. After spending a few weeks gathering your initial data you presented your initial findings in a presentation format to your client.

You have since gaining a promotion and been asked to work independently and produced a detailed and professional report outlining the risks you have highlighted, countermeasures and recommendations. The following steps outlined below will provide some structure and must be included in your report and be justified through examples and references that are suitable to the scenario:
For the scenario:

1. Identify Risks to the organisation surrounding the information technology and information systems used with in the case study context. (this work partly has been conducted in your groups but need to be shown in your report)

2. Analyse and evaluate the identified risks which you highlighted in part 1 and the presentation.

3. Identify and justify appropriate countermeasures to the identified risks. A full range of alternative or complimentary countermeasures to an identified risk should be considered in context of suitability for the case study. This must include priority and risk rating.

4 Detail recommendations for the organisation of appropriate solutions to suit their needs, with justification of approach and prioritized implementation schedule.
