Argument-research paper

This argument-research paper (6 to 8 pages) is 20 percent of the final grade. Choose a controversial, contemporary issue related to your major and, after doing some serious research, choose one side, and argue for that side in your paper. Consider the rhetorical elements of ethos (how you will present yourself as credible, as an expert in the field), pathos (how you will connect to your readers on a human level) and logos (how you will provide logical evidence and reason). Avoid logical fallacies. You must also provide a rebuttal, which will require you to know your opposition. The rebuttal for this paper should be contained to the END of the paper, ideally ONE paragraph in the second-to-last paragraph (PRIOR to the conclusion).
